Biennial native naturally found in open woods, moist meadows, & stream banks.
The first year will produce a low growing basal rosette.
The second year, tall flower stems will shoot up as much as 4-6ft tall producing flat, star-shaped, five-lobed, light blue flowers.
Blooms in partial sun to partial shade July-Sept.
Mass or group plantings are best to encourage self-seeding.
